Thanks to Scott at Ancestree Research. He traced my late fathers family back to the late 1600′s and, thanks to his hard work, I am now in touch with 2 cousins I lost touch with over 50 years ago.

I was also put in touch with a neighbour of my godfather’s widow (on my late mothers side) My godfather was my Uncle Dennis who was killed in the Normandy Landings in 1944. Unfortunatley I never met him but have learnt so much about him.

I have also learnt a lot of info about my ancestors, especially the secrets that were kept by my grandparents,uncles and aunties, so many skeletons in the cupboards!

I gave Scott Hamilton a copy of my birth certificate and told him of what little I knew about my background. He sewed together the threads of information that he had discovered, and now I’ve met my real aunt and uncle, have had contact with my cousin and half brother and I know what happened to my late mother. Prior to this, I had tried several different search methods dating back to the late nineteen seventies without discovering anything at all.
